Nigel Humberstone is a Freelance Education & Technology Consultant and Digital Media Trainer with over 25 years professional music industry experience.

In 2006 Nigel became an Apple Distinguished Educator – industry professionals, recognised by Apple as, established in their respective field as outstanding pioneers, with experience of transforming and adapting learning through constructivism, collaborative work, research and innovative projects.

Nigel has worked as a Lead ICT Professional, responsible for designing, preparing and delivering curriculum relevant ICT and audio visual support work at secondary schools. He specialises in the areas of audio, video and IT related functional skills for OCR Nationals, developing learners’ skills, knowledge and understanding of ICT functions, environments and operations.

Nigel delivers interactive workshops, talks, seminars and Digital Soundtracking masterclasses to adults and young people as part of worldwide touring packages with silent films. As a digital media trainer and facilitator he also undertakes educational workshops, school projects and teacher training, focusing on interactive workshops that demonstrate how sounds are designed, sampled, created and synchronised with film.

Nigel is particularly adept at incorporating the latest developments in digital arts for application in any audio-visual related projects.
